French interiors are the art of elegance. Parisians lead the way in the art of both fashion and interiors. The late designer Madeline Castaing once said 'I decorate houses the way that others paint pictures or write books'. A designer for 50 years her influence is still seen today from interiors to fashion. She was the queen of flea markets owning a decoratin and antiques shop in Paris from 1940 to 1992.
