Race for Life began in 1994 as one event in London’s Battersea Park with 680 participants. In 2010 over 690,000 women walked, jogged and ran at over 230 events across the UK.
Race for Life is the largest series of women-only fundraising events in the UK.
Since Race For Life began, an incredible 5.4 million participants across the UK have raised over £362 million to fund Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.

  4. Race for Life looks like great fun and for a great cause! I just found out about it 2 days ago as I'm new to the UK, just arrived in December!
I have decided to take part this summer - my first run since middle school cross country!! I'll be starting training next week as I'm quite unfit. It's a great reason to get fit and loose that extra weight all for a good cause!
