Spotlight on Katie Bonas Antique Furniture

I have to say I am a big fan of shabby chic & beautifully hand painted & distressed furniture. Dont get me wrong I have a lot of love for contemporary interiors too, I love to mix & match but there is something so homely about antique furniture especially those pieces that have been given a new leash of life & love. I stumbled across the website of katiebonas.  who sources furniture with personality then sympathetically rework's and handpaint's each piece. Vintage Oak Dresser

This very useful little shabby chic dresser would look beautiful in any kitchen or hall. Painted in Duck Egg Blue, which co-ordinates with virtually anything, it has really pretty detailed drawers, doors, hinges and scalloped edges.

Cath Kidston Fabric Ottoman Chest

This beautiful ottoman chest would be perfect at the end of your bed to keep your spare pillows, sheets and blankets tidy! Or why not make it the smartest toy box in town?!
It has been upholstered in Cath Kidston's Rose Stripe Cotton Duck, with co-ordinating English Rose Cotton Duck on the inside of the lid.
The chest stands on wooden bun feet, which have been painted in Old White and waxed. The inside of the chest is finished in cream coloured melamine with a dark green baize floor.

Victorian Chesterfield Drop-End Sofa

This beautiful Victorian sofa has been professionally upholstered in Cream Oatmeal wool - you'd never guess it is over 100 years old!
It has stunning deep buttoning to the back and sides, and stands on square tapering supports with castors. Both ends of this sofa are drop-end, which is fairly rare, which means you can really stretch out and get comfortable!
