HAPPY NEWYEAR ALL XXXXX

Samantha Robinson at Adaanddarcy

Its been a fantastic Christmas, I have really enjoyed spending some quality time with family and friends especially as it has been such a busy few months what with starting the business, So its been hard to find time to relax and finally having chill out time has been bliss. I started decorating the house though yesterday with a fresh lick of paint ready for me to put my house on the market in the next few weeks. Its scary and exciting as I have lived here for over 10 years and I am making the big step of moving in with my partner Neil. My house is to small as we have 3 children between us so we need something bigger. We decided to sell my place first and move into his for 6 months or so why we look for something new and then try and sell his house. Its going to be a hectic year once again but will all be be worth it.

Well anyway less about me and more about some lovely finds, Kellie over at http://adaanddarcy.blogspot.com/   has these beautiful Samantha Robinson tea cups and tea pots as well as watermelon bowls now available instore. I love the bright coloured patterns especially the orange. Id quite like a few of these tea cups in my cupboard and think I may be doing some online ordering very soon.

Wishing a Happy Christmas

Just a few more days to go and I am getting very festive now. Just hope the snow lays off for a bit so I can get to Chilford Hall tomorrow night for my annual girls Christmas night out. I have been really looking forward to it, my outfit is hanging over the door ready. This year they have an abba tribute band so plenty of singing and dancing along. Its a busy few days as me and Neil are out for a meal for a friends birthday the follow night and then Christmas Eve is apon us. So much still to do, so this may possibly be my last post until after boxing day. So Happy Christmas all!!
I love these holiday patchwork design cushions from Ballard Designs, they would look lovely scattered on a sofa with a woollen throw or to dress up a guest room bed.

The pinks contrast beautifully in this white bedroom. A stunning combination.

I love the simplicity of this guest bedroom the lovely christmas throw & the stars decorating the window.

Honeysuckle Pink named Pantones colour for 2011

Well blogsphere has gone crazy with the news from Pantone on honeysuckle pink being the new colour for 2011. I love love love pink its so elegant and femine. As a supporter of the pink ribbon I am very happy for pink to be the new colour trend.

Its starting to feel a lot like christmas!!!!!

Where would we be without a bit of green in our colour pallette at Christmas? Ive been seeing a lot of white, which I have to say I do really, really love. But I am thinking maybe we need a bit of  colour sometimes too. So green it is today, green green and yep more green!

So here's a mood board that I have prepared for the occassion. Hope you like it. I am off to bed as I have an inner ear infection and Im suffering vertigo so an early night is in order. Purple Haze

Purple is a mix of opposite colour tones with both warm and cold tones. Strong warm red and cool blue. Purple can boost imagination and creativity, although too much purple in a room, like blue, could result in moodiness.

Making a Christmas Wreath

I recently found this lovely blog by a lady called Irene http://40andbeyondbyirene.blogspot.com/
I thought I would share with you these photos she posted on how to make a Christmas wreath. It is a tradition in her family to make one together every year. What a lovely way of spending time with the children and getting crafty. Please have a look for yourself over at her blog spot. I am off to buy supplies this weekend so I can give it a go myself with my eleven year old son. I have already promised him that we will make a ginger bread house in the coming weeks, with the agreement that is that he can lick out the mixing bowl. As an adult I feel robbed from this joy!! I'll keep you posted with our crafty projects. Thank you to the lovely Irene for the great tutorial.

I HEART Christmas

Our very naughty dog Daisy last night decided to help herself to a few chocolates out of my son's advent calender. Lets say he wasn't very impressed with her. It has been an eventful week all in all. the most soul destroying event was managing to set light to my new winter coat after leaving it too close to the gas heater at work. (Yes I was THAT stupid). It just went up in smoke I could have cried! Lets hope Santa will bring me a new one, I have been a very good girl this year I promise.

Well with 22 days to go this weekend I will be putting the decorations up and hopefully making some more, inspired by so many wonderful blog ideas. Thought I would share today some I have found courtesy of amazon and Ebay and since I heart Christmas so much, hearts are my theme for today. Hope you like, have a good weekend all!
